Medical Architecture were commissioned to explore the relocation of the existing oncology outpatient services, dispersed across two buildings and over a number of floors on the Guys Hospital site, to an interim location.
The aim of this project was to provide a more accessible and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff whilst ensuring the department has long-term use beyond accommodating the oncology department.
A former A&E assessment ward was selected on the ground floor of Guys tower and refurbishment work was carried out which included some modifications to the adjacent minor injuries unit.
