An AFP (PPP) development of new 457 bed acute-care community hospital and energy centre, serving more than 180,000 people from the Oakville community and surrounding areas. The project re-designed the full acute and mental health hospital services plus a new cancer clinic and improved public, social, educational and retail facilities.
Medical Architecture’s role involved healthcare planning, schematic design and internal planning of:
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Outpatients Department.
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Ward.
- Adult Mental Health Outpatient Department.
- Adult Mental Health Inpatient Departments (3 Wards).
- Rehabilitation Outpatient Department (ROD).
- Development of sports facilities, in particular the swimming pool and gymnasium in the ROD.
- Visualisation and 3D BIM Models fully coordinated with local Consultants (Kasian).
