Medical Architecture work in a range of roles:
- Government Departments: contributing to Building Notes and Design Guides, promoting good planning and design for health facilities.
- Health Authorities: reviewing the effectiveness of the health estate producing audits, utilisation data and post occupancy evaluation.
- Hospital Boards and Trusts: strategic planning advice, preparation of Business Cases. Acting as Technical Advisors, providing Exemplar Design and performance specification. Preparation of Development Control and Departmental Plans from design concept through tender and contract supervision.
- Clinical Teams: providing specialist support including briefing and detailed design for Polyclinics, Specialist Primary Care Centres and General Practice surgeries.
- Private Finance Initiative (PFI) or PPP Consortia: Identifying bid-win strategy, developing and managing the design through the dialogue process. We present complex design issues to user groups and stakeholders and co-ordinate bid documents.
We have the capacity to work on projects from small-scale clinics to multi-million pound hospitals, either upgrading existing buildings to modern standards or designing innovative new healthcare settings.
