Phase 3 of the Roseberry Park mental health village is a forensic unit which will function as an extension to the hospital complex.

The building provides 51 single-occupancy bedrooms, all with views to the outside, arranged over four ward quadrants. Each residential ward is designed to meet the needs of a specific user group, ranging from male and female patients with differing learning disabilities to older-age people with medium-risk mental health problems. To enhance the therapeutic setting, each ward has at least 1 dedicated private courtyard that offers a secure external environment for therapy and contemplation continuing the overall concept to create a safe, secure, healing environment where everyone is able to gain some contact with nature. An allotment garden is incorporated in the landscape design, giving patients the opportunity to engage in horticultural activities that have long been proven to have psychological and therapeutic benefits.
