Highgate Low Secure Unit

The project involves the conversion of an existing outpatient unit into a new 15-bed low secure inpatient unit at the Highgate Mental Health Centre. The first phase involving the relocation of the outpatient unit to nearby accommodation has been successfully completed. The second phase is now on site and will complete before the end of the year. The procurement route is traditional.

The new unit will provide the Trust with much needed accommodation for out-of-area patients and the potential to share the facility with other service providers. In terms of design and specification, it will be a welcome addition to the Trust’s capability on the site. The unit will benefit from generous day accommodation and an activity area in the form of an enclosed outside garden.
