The Wandsworth Recovery Centre is a new, mixed gender inpatient facility for adults with acute mental illness at Springfield University Hospital in London. It comprises an 18 bed acute ward, a 10 bed psychiatric intensive care unit together with community team bases and outpatient facilities.

“Wandsworth Recovery Centre stands as a testimony to teamwork and also sets a benchmark for the future mental health facilities in the Springfield redevelopment. The Trust has facilities which, probably for the first time since Springfield was developed in the mid 19th Century, create the therapeutic environment needed for our patients to help them recover. They are the real winners from all your endeavours – thank you.”
