Working closely with the Trust, Medical Architecture produced a detailed development control plan for the site at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The objectives of the DCP were:
- A thorough analysis of the entire site and accommodation to determine a course of action
- To establish an area of land for disposal to assist funding of new facilities
- To achieve a consolidation of the hospital site and re-provide modern buildings fit for function
The DCP achieved:
- New facilities proposed to reflect the changing face of Health Services Delivery within the Trust
- A consolidated hospital site
- A site that allows for future expansion
- A similar hospital floor area to that at present
- A 4-stage development programme over 6-8 years to achieve this goal.
